ESG IN PRACTICE - SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING & CLIMATE RISK FOR INSURERS - Workshop in Uganda
ESG IN PRACTICE: SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING & CLIMATE RISK FOR INSURERS
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Uganda’s insurance sector is entering a new era of sustainability accountability. Anchored in the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA) ESG Guidelines for the Insurance Sector, 2026, this intensive one-day workshop moves beyond awareness to practical implementation.
Participants will explore how to embed ESG considerations into underwriting, claims management, investment decisions, and risk management practices. The workshop will also examine climate-related risks, preparedness for IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 sustainability reporting, and approaches to developing a credible ESG Statement.
Through expert-led instruction, Uganda-focused case studies, practical exercises, and peer discussions, participants will gain actionable insights to support ESG implementation within their organizations.
