Reinsurance Program Design and Pricing

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Reinsurance Program Design and Pricing course is designed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to design effective reinsurance programmes and understand the pricing mechanisms for both proportional and non-proportional reinsurance arrangements.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the design and structure of various reinsurance programmes.
• Describe the underwriting process for reinsurance business.
• Explain how commissions are determined for proportional treaties.
• Describe the calculation of premium adjustment rates for different types and layers of non-proportional treaties.
• Calculate various types of reinsurance premiums.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is intended for reinsurance underwriters and accountants with a minimum of three years' experience in the underwriting or accounting departments of (re)insurance companies.

LOGISTICS

The training will be delivered through the ZEP-RE Academy Learning Management System (LMS). Participants are required to have a reliable internet connection and access to a digital device, preferably a laptop or tablet.

DELIVERY FORMAT

The course will consist of:

• A 90-minute presentation by the facilitators.
• A 30-minute interactive Question and Answer session to address participants' questions, comments, and observations.

CII CPD ACCREDITATION

Delegates who successfully participate in the Reinsurance Program Design and Pricing course may claim up to 6 CPD hours towards the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Member CPD Scheme.

COURSE FEE

The registration fee for this course is USD 100 per participant.
