ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Financial Lines Insurance Workshop provides an in-depth understanding of key liability classes that protect professionals, organizations, and event organizers against financial loss arising from legal liabilities. The workshop introduces participants to the principles, underwriting considerations, and claims dynamics of Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors & Officers (D&O), Medical Malpractice, Broad Form and Event Liability insurance.

Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants will explore how these covers operate, how policies are structured, and how risk assessment and policy wording influence underwriting and claims outcomes. The workshop emphasizes practical approaches to evaluating exposures, setting appropriate coverage limits, and managing loss trends within the financial lines portfolio.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this workshop, the participants will be able to:

        i.            Explain the key principles, scope, and coverage features of major financial lines products (PI, D&O, Medical Malpractice, and Event Liability).

       ii.            Identify and assess exposures associated with professional, managerial, and event-related risks.

     iii.            Apply underwriting and pricing techniques tailored to financial lines business.

     iv.            Analyse claims trends and adopt effective strategies for risk mitigation and portfolio management.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This training is tailored for financial lines & casualty insurance underwriters and claims officers/managers with more than 3 years of practical experience.
