The session examines the implications for risk assessment, underwriting practices, and strategic decision-making, while demonstrating how ESG considerations are being embedded into core business processes—particularly within risk management frameworks and portfolio strategy.

This foundational session sets the stage for subsequent webinars:

• Part II will provide an in-depth exploration of IFRS S1 and S2 adoption.
• Part III will focus on audit and assurance for sustainability reporting, equipping participants with a deeper understanding of implementation and oversight requirements.

Course Objectives

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Discuss key ESG concepts, trends, and integration approaches in (re)insurance, including their impact on risk management and strategy.
• Describe the fundamentals of sustainability reporting, with a focus on IFRS S1 and S2 standards, and assess key considerations for organizational readiness and adoption.
